Wii Mini revealed with a December 7th release date and $99.99 pricing

First spotted on Best Buy’s Canada website is Nintendo’s latest effort: Wii Mini. The device has now been officially been announced by Nintendo, which will ship from December 7th for $99.99 in Canada.

As Nintendo prepares to release the Wii U in Europe this Friday, Best Buy Canada revealed what is a new miniature-sized version of the standard Wii. The device has now been officially unveiled by Nintendo now and comes standard with a sensor bar, power adapter and a composite cable.

Furthermore the device will not have Wi-fi capabilities and thus it won’t support online features in games or the eShop. The device is not compatible with GameCube games either.

The Wii Mini will go on sale in Canada on December 7th costing a modest $99.99, we’re yet to hear if and when it’ll hit other markets. Pretty barren as far as features are concerned, it remains to be seen if the ‘mini’ price tag will attract a lot of buyers over Christmas.
