Google continues to refine and overlap its wide array of services and it has done so again, this time by linking Play Store reviews to your Google+ account.
Previously, users could review apps on the Play Store rather anonymously. A mere name or nickname identified a user’s comment. But that is set to change with the inclusion of Google+ profiles to the Play Store.
Reviews posted earlier now fall under “A Google User” as Google rolls out the feature. Moving on from here we would speculate a tighter integration with Google+ possibly displaying full names and profile pictures. A few privacy hurdles will have to be dealt with along the way.
Google will hit two birds with the same stone as it integrates its services and also promotes Google+ at the same time. This inclusion will also improve the accuracy and credibility of reviews on the Play Store.
