Outlook.com breaks 25 million user mark, celebrates with an Android app

4 month old Outlook.com has already broken the 25 [active] million user mark. The service has seen some incredible growth in the past months and has released an Android app to commemorate the milestone.

The clean and slick UI of Outlook.com has gained a lot of attention and quite recently honoured with Time Magazine’s “50 Best Websites of 2012”. According to Microsoft 4 out of 5 of these [case study] Gmail users said they would switch to Outlook.com.

Microsoft has also introduces some new features such as:

-One click archive
-A ton of keyboard shortcuts
-Further inbox customization

And that’s not all, dive into the Play Store and you will find an Outlook.com app right there. The 2.4MB download is a bit of a disappointment though, gathering an average rating of just 2 (out of 5) and some negativereviews.

Still, 25 million users isn’t bad and looking at their trajectory we believe they can go far.
