Microsoft’s Steven Sinofsky leaves Microsoft due to personality clashes

Microsoft Windows’ head, Steven Sinofsky, is leaving the company due to personality clashes at Microsoft, as The Verge reports that he has not been in good terms with other teams at Microsoft.

Microsoft Windows’ head, Steve Sinofsky, who used to talk all about the new Windows 8 is now leaving the company. The clear cut reason according to The Verge is that he has been having some personality clashes with other teams in the company, and also his personal thought that his career growth has come to an halt at the company.

Sinofsky has been with the company since 1993, and has been serving as a critical employee for the UI design, research and development for Windows 7 and Windows 8. One another reason that’s thought out to be the cause of his departure is that he took complete control of all the Windows based products and also restricting some of the key features that would have bought Windows to the next level.

Talking about the departure, Sinofsky says:

“It is impossible to count the blessings I have received over my years at Microsoft. I am humbled by the professionalism and generosity of everyone I have had the good fortune to work with at this awesome company.”

But wait, who’s going to take over his place? It would be Julie Larson-Green who would be taking charge once he leaves the company. Here’ s what Steve Ballmer said in a letter to his employees:

“As we enter this new era, and with the successful launch of Windows 8 and Surface behind us, Steven Sinofsky has decided to leave the company. Steven joined Microsoft in 1989 as a software development engineer and has contributed to the company in many ways from his work as a technical advisor to Bill Gates, to leading the evolution of the Microsoft Office business, to his direction and successful leadership of Windows and Windows Live as well as Surface.”

Good bye Sinofsky.
