Echofon comes to Android, after loosing Beta tag. Now available on Google Play for Free.

Echofon, one of the most popular Twitter client for the iOS, has now launched for the Android devices for free, despite the crisis that has hit the third-party Twitter clients due to the Twitter’s new API limitations. The app was initially under Public Beta testing on the Google Play.

Echofon was one of the most popular Twitter client that is on the iOS App Store, and the app was on the top of the App List until some of the beautiful apps like Tweetbot came into the App Store Ecosystem. Today, Naan Studios, the company behind the development of Echofon, have bought the app to the Android users. The new Echofon for Android is now available on the Google Play Store for Free.

The Echofon for Android launched in public beta a few months back, and a lot of users were testing out the app, issuing bug fixes to the developers. It is nice to see that the app is now stable and is available on the Stable channel for the users to download. The developers also shut down the development of the Echofon desktop apps to focus on the mobile applications previously.
