Apple adds array of Samsung devices to product lawsuit

Apple might have resolved their dispute with HTC but they sure aren’t going easy on Samsung. The electronics giant has now filed for 6 Samsung devices, including the Galaxy Note II and the Galaxy S III to the lawsuit.

The claim chart gets extended by 6 devices namely the Galaxy S III mini, Samsung Rugby Pro, Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wi-Fi, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S III. Samsung earlier added the iPhone 5, the iPad Mini and all the latest versions of the iPod Touch and iPad. Both the companies have locked horns in battle and show no signs of slowing down.

The case now includes the latest round of devices but it must be noted that the case is scheduled to go to trial in March 2014, a time by which all the said devices will be rendered obsolete. However the companies are making the move to improve damages claim and to give them a legal advantage in the long run.

Apple, please stop with this garbage now. Clearly, this is enough to prove that Apple doesn’t want competition. Everybody “steals” according to Steve Jobs’ thoughts but Apple is really crying over it. “Oh this has rounded edges and it’s rectangular. People will get confused and will buy it because it looks like an iPad/iPhone/iPod/iProduct”. Apple & Samsung with sue each other and cause mutual damage over trivial things.

    • True. I think Apple and Samsung should settle on some licensing deal like they did with HTC. It should probably solve some issues. And I also think Samsung should stop copying Apple. In all the ways possible.

Agreed. They should enter a deal like Apple-HTC. They’ll solve a lot of problems. Lawsuits will just cause mutual damage and less choices for the customer. Samsung didn’t copy Apple. There were iPhone-ish devices (full touchscreen + one button) a year or two before iPhone was out. They were made by LG, Samsung and Sony. The only thing that Samsung has really ripped off from Apple is the Touchwiz UI which IMO is really ugly. The keyboard on Galaxy Note looks exactly like the iOS keyboard.

        • I think the device also has lot of resemblance with the iPhone. People do accept the fact.
