Apple introduced Fusion Drive in the recent iPad Mini event, and it’s been a very less talked about feature from the company. The Fusion Drive combines both the SSD storage and the physical HDD storage together, and runs the most used apps from the SSD and the least used from the HDD. This enables the user to launch applications faster than ever, and giving them no trouble in transferring the applications between these drives.
The file transfer between these two drives happen seamlessly, without even wanting to make the user do anything. Here’s a very quick video that has popped up online, demoing the latest Fusion Drive from Apple:
