Pocket, formerly Read It Later has now come out of the mobile app stores. The developers behind the service have launched a brand new Mac application with full-screen support and does not lack any feature that the mobile app provided.
There are a very few applications that I install on my new iOS devices, and one among them is the Pocket. The pocket app lets me save articles that I can read later offline, during my flight or during my travel. I’ve always wanted a Mac companion for some of the iOS apps, and now, the developers behind Pocket have heard this scream.
The new Mac App is in now way lesser than its iOS counterpart, and works seamlessly across my devices. But one thing I noticed is that, the app does not use the native Tweet-sheet and Facebook sheet in Mountain Lion. There are a lot more features that work exactly the same way the iOS app works, and it beautifully strips the text from the webpages and displays the content that the users would care about.
