MIT’s OpenCourseWare has gone a step further to provide students with one more program called MITx. A free and Interactive content learning platform, that promises to offer a wide range of subjects. The students will be able to learn, and interact with the system like participating in the labs and collaborate with other students of the same course, online.
The Registration for the MITx is now open for their pilot program, Circuits & Electronics (6.002x). This will be the first course of the MITx and will run through March 5th yo June 8th. MIT has also planned to extend this interactive learning platforms to the schools to adopt the same curriculum.
Here’s what the platform promises to do, as we hear from MIT:
- organize and present course material to enable students to learn at their own pace
- feature interactivity, online laboratories and student-to-student communication
- allow for the individual assessment of any student’s work and allow students who demonstrate their mastery of subjects to earn a certificate of completion awarded by MITx
- operate on an open-source, scalable software infrastructure in order to make it continuously improving and readily available to other educational institutions.
If you are looking out to get the finest of the learning, from one of the top universities in the World, then MITx is for you and it comes completely for free.
