Microsoft’s BUILD conference happened today and the company officially launched the Windows Phone 8 to the customers, promising a lot of new apps and a broader visibility for the developers.
Microsoft has been getting a lot of attention from customers who were fad up with iOS and Android for the launch of the Windows Phone 8. And finally, the much expected mobile operating system is now available for the end-users. During the keynote, Microsoft detailed all the essential features of Windows Phone 8, with a lot of attention going towards pushing the customers to believe that their mobile OS is great. And yes, we think its great, smooth and much more efficient than Android.
Talking about the new mobile OS, an excited Ballmer said:
“People all over the world are about to fall in love with Windows Phones,”
“Between Windows 8, Microsoft Surface or Windows Phone 8, you won’t be able to turn on the TV or open a magazine without seeing a Microsoft Windows ad,”
This is not all that Microsoft had to show. The company also promised that there would be a lot of new applications for the customers in the upcoming months, and that the developers would gain interest in the platform as the day goes.
Interestingly, the new Windows Phone 8 advert that was aired had Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer narrate the entire commercial. Here’s the video:
Here’s something he says in the ad:
“There’s a lot of people in the world. And they all have something to say. Many have sort of advice. So, so, so much advice. Some of that advice is really useful… But there’s one piece of advice I’d give to everyone. That’s me; and this MY Windows Phone.”
