iTunes App Store now displaying app pricing in INR rather than US Dollars.

Looks like Apple is turning is concentration on the Indian market. As of today, Apple’s iTunes App Store is displaying the currency in INR for the Indian App Store account holders, instead of the regular USD pricing.

Apple’s iPhone is coming early next month to India, and Apple is slowly making some progress in bringing the localization to the App Store in India. As of today, App Store has been displaying currency in INR format, rather than the usual USD format, which incurred Forex taxes for the customers making a purchase on the App Store.

Right now, the Angry Birds game costs Rs. 55. And it looks like the minimum amount that exists for the Indian App Store is Rs. 55. This is not all, the speculation that Apple will likely open an Official Apple Store in India is also increasing.
