iTunes 11 release date delayed for a month to make things right for the users.

Apple’s iTunes 11, the next major version of the software’s release have been delayed for about a month now to make things right for the customers before it goes into production. Is this the reflection of the lesson the company learnt with iOS 6 Maps?

An Apple’s Spokesperson today informed CNET that the company would be delaying the launch of iTunes 11 for a month to get things right before the final production build hits the customers. Apple has been working on Schedule driven approach instead of the don’t-ship-until-you-finish-the-product approach that Steve Jobs followed in the company, and now, the company has failed to stick to the schedule.

Talking about this, CNET reports:

“The new iTunes is taking longer than expected and we wanted to take a little extra time to get it right,” Apple spokesman Tom Neumayr told CNET. “We look forward to releasing this new version of iTunes with its dramatically simpler and cleaner interface, and seamless integration with iCloud before the end of November.”

iTunes 11 would be a major UI overhaul along with some other improvements across the application. We’ll keep you posted about the happenings of iTunes 11.
