Google today opened the doors for the developers to sell paid apps through the Google Play Store in India. The feature was not available to the Indian developers previously, and Google has provided a solution now.
Google has got a huge market share in India, and its been the leader in smartphone industry in the country for a while. But then, there were a lot of problems for the developers in selling their paid applications in the Google Play Store previously. But no more. The company today opened the doors for the developers allowing them to sell the premium applications on the Google Play Store.
This move by Google would open up a lot of opportunities for the developers and Android users in India, allowing them to access more Indian based contents on the Play Store. There might also be some more services that would follow this, bringing the Indian Android market close to the one in the US.
According to the Official Blog post, the feature is effective immediately, and the developers can get their hands-on with this right away. This is not all, the developers from the country can also sell their apps in INR throughout the world, allowing the developers to get their apps to a lot of new international users across the world.
