Apple posts “Samsung did not copy Apple” message as ordered. Points out its victory in other courts.

Apple has posted the official statement saying that “Samsung did not copy Apple” message after the UK court ruled the patent injunction that Apple posed on Samsung. But at the end of the statement, Apple also rightly pointed out that it has lost the case ONLY in the UK, and has proved Samsung guilty in other courts across the world.

The Apple – Samsung patent fight has took a twist in the UK when the judge ordered Apple to post a Sorry message publicly saying that Samsung did not copy Apple. And obeying the court orders, Apple today posted an official message stating this, and this would remain in the history of the company for the years to come.

This is not all, as we would expect, Apple has also defended itself by pointing out that the company won all the patent cases that it had on Samsung in other courts across the world, and that it was only in the UK it took a hit. Here’s what it said about loosing in the UK:

However, in a case tried in Germany regarding the same patent, the court found that Samsung engaged in unfair competition by copying the iPad design. A U.S. jury also found Samsung guilty of infringing on Apple’s design and utility patents, awarding over one billion U.S. dollars in damages to Apple Inc. So while the U.K. court did not find Samsung guilty of infringement, other courts have recognized that in the course of creating its Galaxy tablet, Samsung willfully copied Apple’s far more popular iPad.

  • “Apple also rightly pointed”. Apple fan much? Does this mean that UK has wrongly judged Samsung as not guilty?
