Scout for iPhone brings turn-by-turn navigation to iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.

Scout TeleNav for iPhone is a new app that brings seamless turn-by-turn navigation to unsupported devices like the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.

Apple did not bring the turn-by-turn navigation systems to older devices like the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS. But there has been hand-full of apps that has been providing this service in the App Store. One such app that popped out right in time where Apple has been suggesting alternatives to the native iOS 6 Maps is Scout, a turn-by-turn navigation app that runs on iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.

Scout gets its data from some of the best services like TomTom and Telenav GPS, helping users to get some cool visually guided directions at almost all parts of the world. The app comes with an in-app purchase, which provides voice based directions for the users for one full year, after which it has to be renewed.

The app has also got some of the standard features that any map application would need like places of interest, traffic updates, navigation routes and such. This is not all, the weather information is also displayed right within the app. I personally feel that this is a very good, and the app is also offering free one year subscription for new users.

Scout Telenav is free at the moment. Grab the app before it goes into the premium mode.
