Nokia’s City Lens app was in beta for such a long time, and today, the app has gone into production mode. The app has shed its beta tag and is available for all the Lumia users who want to get a taste of Augmented Reality.
Nokia debuted its first Augmented Reality application for the Lumia Windows Phone devices, back when it brought these devices into the market, but the app stayed as a Beta until yesterday. Today, City Lens, the Augmented Reality application shed its beta tag and brought in a lot of new features and bug fixes.
City Lens for Lumia devices uses the GPS and also works pretty much like Yelp, giving you all the essential information like restaurants, shopping malls, and other essential information about the places. The app also gives reviews, directions and also closing times to the user in realtime. Its nice to see that the app is now out of Beta and is available to all the Lumia customers across the world.
