Google owned Motorola mobility today unveiled a new RAZR device, the Moto RAZR i, with 2GHz Intel Atom processor and 4.3 inches edge-to-edge AMOLED screen, 8 megapixel camera running on nothing but the Android 4.0. The pricing and availability are still unknown.
There's been quite a bit of traction happening in the industry after the birth of new iPhone 5, and companies like Samsung got their next devices' specification leaked to have them in the news. And Motorola is no exception to that. The Google owned Motorola Mobility has unveiled the next major version of RAZR series device, which is probably the powerful Android device at the moment.
The new Moto RAZR i is a regular Ice Cream Sandwich running device, which sports a whooping 2GHz processor which the company is thankful to Atom series processors from Intel. The device also sports a 8 megapixel camera and a beautiful 4.3 inches, edge-to-edge screen. This is the first time Motorola is debuting a device with edge-to-edge screen. The complication in making a device which has this kind of edge-to-edge screen is not so easy, as it involves a lot of engineering effort to produce a device that's really flawless.
This is not all. The RAZR i is powered with a 2000mAh battery, which the company claims to be much powerful than the current iPhone 4S, promising a better battery life. And just like any other new smartphone coming out today, except for the iPhone, the device has a NFC chip in it, which can make use of the Android Beam. The device comes in three usual variants. The 16, 32 and 64 GB storage models, also with the microSD card support.
Looking at the preview and also at the press shots, the company should be appreciated for bringing the edge-to-edge screen. And with 2GHz processor, this device should be a screamer. We recently reviewed the powerful LG Optimus 4X HD, and it the processor was powerful enough to perform sense extraordinary tasks with ease. And now with 2GHz processors coming into the mobile space, the possibilities should be endless. It's all with the software now, to be intuitive, powerful and really entertaining to make the full use of these powerful hardware.
