During the TechCrunch’s Disrupt conference, Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zukerberg revealed that the company’s latest acquisition, Instagram, will stay as a separate app instead of absorbing them into Facebook.
Mark Zukerberg completed the Instagram’s acquisition a few days back, and he was there at the TechCrunch’s Disrupt conference, talking about the Instagram acquisition. The largest social network’s CEO, says that the acquisition was to bring Instagram and Facebook closer and also to help them grow to millions of new users.
Talking about how the company is treating Instagram like, he reveals:
“We’ll treat them like an open graph partner,”
It is worth noting that the Instagram’s user base grew more than 1000% after the Facebook’s acquisition. And Zukerberg was also ambitious in taking Instagram to the next level. He says:
“We want to help it grow to hundreds of millions of users,”
Zukerberg seemed so cool and confident in answering the questions. And also, its nice to hear that Instagram will not be dumped and be integrated into Facebook instead. We’ll still have to wait to see what would happen to the app in the near future.
