BGR India is reporting that Apple is now taking the control from India’s exclusive carriers for iPhones to sell the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 in the country. And Apple has reportedly ramped up its team to manage the iPhone sales in India.
iPhone 5 launched in style at the special media conference this week, and there’s been a huge debate about when the iPhone 5 would land in India. But then, BGR India, one of the reliable source has revealed that the carriers like Airtel and Aircel have already placed orders for nano-SIM, to support the latest iPhone 5.
But now, BGR has reported that the company would solely be responsible for selling iPhone 5 to the customers, and its not just the new iPhone, but all the other supported iPhones in this case. While this is nice to hear, this might just be a sign that Apple’s concentration is shifting towards India, and as our sources revealed, Apple is expected to open their first retail store in the country early next year.
