Sony has unveiled the VAIO Duo 11, a hybrid-style ultrabook with a 11.6-inch display, a 256GB SSD, 8GB of RAM and weighs just 1.99 pounds.
Its the IFA 2012 season, and we’re seeing some gadgets coming out of some big companies like Sony. Today, Sony unveiled the Sony VAIO Duo 11, which is a Windows 8 tablet with a backlit display and comes with pretty good configuration. The sleek device comes with a cutting edge and most happening technology, NFC. Sony has now brought in a new name for its NFC enabled operations called OneTouch. And here’s what Sony’s saying about the NFC in VAIO Duo 11:
Through Sony’s One-touch* function, you can easily and instantaneously enjoy music and photos across an array of NFC (Near Field Communication) enabled Sony devices. Simply touch one device against another, and instantly establishing a wireless connection without the need for any Bluetooth or Wi-Fi set up. For example, it’s easy to continue listening to music stored on your VAIO through Bluetooth® headphones or speakers with One-touch function.
While this is interesting, the new device is also capable of running Windows 8, Microsoft’s next major operating system, with a radically new design, which is launching this October 26th. The users can choose between two RAM and SSD configurations, when it launches late October. The ultrabook supports both 4GB and 8Gb or RAM and comes with 128GB or 256GB SSD storage.
