Today Seagate completed the acquisition of LaCie for approx. $186 million confirmed Mr. Philippe Spruch, chairman and CEO of LaCie.
LaCie, which had made rounds in producing some great storage solutions has now been completely acquired by Seagate. Six months from now Seagate will be holding 95% of all shares and voting rights of LaCie itself. This process is subject to regulation of United States and France as per the two companies hosted at.
LaCie is one of the best manufacturers of Hard Drives – including RAID and Network Storage, Optical readers, Displays, Chipsets. And it stands for it design and appealing products. The acquisition will boost Seagate’s growth rapidly as LaCie has reputed profile for its advanced products and technologies. And it is an additional block that Philippe Spruch joins Seagate team.
