Samsung starts the race. Unveils Ativ S, a WP8 device with 720p display and 1.5GHz processor

Samsung starts the race for the Windows Phone 8. The company us unveiling the first Windows Phone 8 device, a week ahead of Nokia – Microsoft event, which is scheduled to happen on September 5th. The Ativ S from Samsung comes with a “Retina like” 720p display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and a 8-megapixel rear facing camera.

While the Nokia – Microsoft event is scheduled to happen next week, Samsung has unveiled its new Windows Phone 8 mobile device, the Samsung Ativ S, which comes with a 720p Retina like display which runs on a 1.5GHz processor and a GB of RAM. The storage options comes with a regular 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storages. But wait, there’s more to this. Ativ S comes with a 2300mAh battery.

Ativ S has a 8-megapixel rear facing camera and a 1.9-megapixel front facing camera, and the device looks really rich and sturdy as far as we saw in the pictures that came out. The back is of a brushed metal finish, but still, at the first look, the device does look like an Apple product. And you know what we mean!
