Samsung took maximum advantage of its Mobile Unpacked event at this year’s IFA 2012 at Berlin. The company unveiled its new Windows RT tablet, which has a 1.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM, a whooping 8200mAh battery and more.
Samsung did not only unveil the Galaxy Camera, Galaxy Note II and Ativ S at the Mobile Unpacked event at Berlin. The company had more to show us. Samsung revealed their intentions to bring its Windows RT tablet into the market later this year, with its Ativ Tab, which is a 10.1-inch tablet device with a HD display, scaling upto 1366 x 768 pixels resolution, running Windows RT on a 1.5GHz processor backed up by 2GB of RAM.
As with any latest Samsung device coming out, the Ativ Tab is NFC capable, and also the storage options starts with 32GB and NOT 16GB storage options. The Ativ Tab’s reviews have been pretty good so far on other tech websites across the world, and we think the device would kick off a straight competition to Microsoft’s Surface, which is expected to come out on October 26th to the public.
The 8.9mm thick tablet device is expected to arrive around the same time as Microsoft’s Windows 8 comes out to the market next month. The pricing is also unavailable at the moment.
