Philips has introduced a number of entertainment devices for the Indian market, expanding its presence in India.
Philips has launched AS111 Android dock. This dock plays music and changes Android -powered smartphone and auto synchronises its clock with the device.It has a free app that can facilitate a few other functions. The price of AS111 is Rs. 5,999.
Philips also launched Go GEAR MP3 and MP4 players. It has FM and an expandable memory slot offering up to 20 hour music or 4 hour video playback on a single battery charge. The other device called GoGEAR SoundDot MP3 Player offers unique fast charge features and costs just Rs. 1,550.
The company has also launched DS9800W, which comes along with an AirPlay and it can stream songs directly from iPod Touch,iPhone,ipad and iTunes. The SoundSphere technology on this dock gives you the experience of natural and wider sound impression. The cost of this product is Rs. 65,990.

Philips India has said it is looking at posting a double digit growth in its consumer lifestyle segment this fiscal year by adopting new business strategies. “Philips Consumer Lifestyle has posted a strong double digit growth in past seven months and we intend to maintain it,” said Ratnam.
“We are changing our market strategy and the focus is on to go to the market. We are also targeting tier II and tier III cities for some of our products,” he added.
Multiple launches includes home theatre systems, docking speakers, MP3 players and headphones which expands the entertainment portfolios.
