Google has just announced that they are bringing Enhanced Search to the iOS devices, via their official Google app with an update. The Enhanced Search would act more like Google Now for Jelly Bean.
Google unveiled Google Now, at this year’s Google I/O and the new service is exclusively available only for the Jelly Bean users. But now, looks like Google is bringing this feature to iOS devices, that are even three years old. The company reveals that the Google Now kind of features would arrive on the iOS devices through an update to its existing Google Search app very shortly!
But wait! Would Apple allow this in their App Store? That’s a bit of dilemma that we’ve got. Since Enhanced Search works more like Apple’s Siri. While Google Now is perfectly fine with all its integration for the Android devices, this Enhanced Search would be a trimmed version of Google Now for the iOS.
Google is also happy that they are bringing features which are aiming at the future of search. Here’s what the company says about this new Enhanced Search and Google Now:
In the latest version of the Google Search App for iOS and Android, not only can you say your question out loud, but your search app can speak your answer right back to you. And, using Google’s Knowledge Graph, your search app gives you smarter answers loud and clear.
