Fujitsu, the IT giant, today announced that it is upgrading its Ultrabook line – Lifebook – to business class, meaning better features, specially connectivity. “With the industry’s first business Ultrabook we have combined the best of today’s mobile computing technology with the essential security, manageability and connectivity features required by business. Fujitsu’s Ultrabooks add a new offering to our broad Lifebook family and prove that you can have all your critical features innovated in a compelling, ultra-slim mobile computing device,” said Alok Sharma, country Manager, Workplace Systems, Fujitsu India.
The new U772 comes with a 14-inch screen (LED backlight, (HD), Anti-glare frameless display, magnesium, 1366 x 768 pixel). The Ultrabook measures 327 x 225 x 15.6 mm and weighs about 1.4 kg. It has Intel Core i5-3317U processor, 3 MB, 1.7 GHz, up to 2.6 GHz (option of upto 3.2 GHz) Other features include Bluetooth, WiFi, and also the option to get 3G/UMTS SIM slot, which can be upgraded to 4G/LTE at user’s choice. This model costs about Rs. Rs. 75,900.
On the other hand, UH572 is a little more pocket-friendly Ultrabook that has a smaller 13.3-inch screen. Costing Rs. 65,000, this one also comes with optional 3G connectivity. Processor is Intel Core i5-3317U processor, 3 MB, 1.7 GHz clock speed. There is also a Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics card.
