Facebook has revealed that over 8.7% of their user accounts are fake. The report came from the company itself, when they filed a necessary document soon after their first earnings call!
Almost all our friends are on Facebook, and there’ve been many who have their names altered, just to hide their identity. But now, Facebook has revealed that they have got over 83 million accounts that are fake, and the company is actively trying to detect and suppress these accounts. Facebook currently has over 955 million users worldwide, who are regular visitors of the site, of which 82 million users are fake.
Besides all these, the social network has over 1.5% of their user accounts undesirable, and these are the accounts that violate the terms and conditions of Facebook. Moreover, these undesirable and fake accounts make over 4.8 percent of their traffic to the site!
Isn’t this interesting? 83 million is a huge number!
