Vodafone Australia has delayed the update for Android Jelly Bean since the OS is reportedly not falling under the Australian Regulatory for handling emergency calls. The carrier has however promised to bring the update to the customers pretty soon!
Google’s latest toast of Android, the Android Jelly Bean was supposed to go to the hands of the customers in Australia this week from Vodafone, but unfortunately, the carrier has pushed back the update release to some more days or weeks! Vodafone Australia has said that they were advised to push back the update since the OS was violating the Australian Regulatory Standards, to handle emergency calls!
Talking about this issue, Vodafone Australia says:
“We’ve just been advised that the roll-out the of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update to Vodafone Australia customers has been delayed,”
“At this stage, we don’t have any further information on when the roll-out will resume, but as soon as we do, we’ll let you know here on the blog.”
Emergency Calls are big deal when it comes to the mobile OS, and delaying the update has disappointed some of the Nexus users in the country! Moreover, Vodafone has also recommended its customers to keep following their blog for any further details about the Jelly Bean update rollout!
