We were expecting it, and it arrives. The VLC media player for Android has finally arrived at the Google Play Store, but in public Beta.
VLC media player is one of the most popular media player on the planet, and it still has its day in almost all the platforms. But there’s been a lot of speculation that the media player is coming to the Google Play Store, and finally the app has come out after weeks of approval from the Google Play Store. The current version reads 0.0.1 at has a strong Beta tag in it. The developers of the app, VideoLAN says that this build is a very unstable one, that could crash so much.
The new VLC player comes with a basic widget allowing you to play, pause, and skip tracks. The beta is only for devices with an ARMv7 processor (supporting NEON engine). You can download this app from here. VideoLAN promises to release separate applications that support a much wider range of phones and tablets.
