Google now allows Developers to monetize their Google Chrome Extensions using Ads!

Google has announced that the company has modified their Ads policy to allow the developers to monetize their Google Chrome Extensions using ads.

Google has been finding all possible ways to monetize itself and its related developers off late, and in this move, the company has started allowing ads within a Google Chrome Extension. In a recent email that was sent to the developers, the Mountain View based company stated:

“We are updating our ad policies to allow extensions to monetize through ads. Please ensure your extensions are in compliance by reviewing ourextension ads policy guidelines.”

Would you actually encourage this move by Google. Ever since this report came out, many of our friends, and many other users have started to take note of Mozilla Firefox, which serves everything for free without Ads. There has also been cases with Google Chrome, where people could use a plugin to replace the ad content on a website with another users’ ad account. But then, Google came forward to stop these acts.

In the future, if you are using certain plugins like AdBlock, these plugins might block the ads that are displayed on the site, but they themselves would contain ads within them for making money. We’re not sure if this would actually hit the mobile extensions too, but this is going to take a major hit on the overall user experience that the Google Chrome users have been enjoying all along!

What do you say? Are you looking for other Web Browsers now?
