Facebook phones are not happening! A Report says “Half the people would never buy!”

In one of the previous meetings Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg shot down the idea of the Facebook mobile phone, confirming that they are not working on a hardware device, and said that “half the people would never buy it”.

In a poll conducted around the world, 50 per cent of those questioned said they would “never” switch to a Facebook phone. According to the report half the people would never buy a Facebook phone. Improved functionality, followed by price and design would be their options if persuaded. About 500 people around the world were questioned.

On the other hand Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says:

“There are lots of things that you can build in other operating systems, as well, that aren’t really like building out a whole phone, which I think wouldn’t really make much sense for us to do,”

Last year Facebook initialized by joining with HTC in working on a facebook mobile, one that has the social network’s platform fully integrated deep into the core of the hardware. A mobile phone manufacturer has already produced the first phones to feature a dedicated Facebook button. Yet Facebook is working on a mobile dedicated for itself, which has now been confirmed to be rubbish!

Having a own device would help the social networking site to get more monetary benefit with applications functions for ads. Facebook now virtually being the second most populated nation has the most powerful ads revenue.

However, later Mark Zuckerberg said that a Facebook-built phone is a bit of a dumb idea. He denied the reports saying it wouldn’t make much sense for us.
