NVIDIA shuts down Dev Forums after getting hacked! Over 400,000 user accounts exposed!

Nvidia has shut down its developer forums, to safeguard its users from getting hacked furthermore. Nvidia’s Developer Zone online forums have been hacked and over 400,000 user accounts have been exposed in the wild.

Nvidia, the largest graphic card maker, has confirmed that their Developer Zone forum has been hacked and over 400,000 user accounts and passwords have been exposed. Right now, if you try to access the Nvidia Developer Forum, its going to read:

Nvidia suspended operations today of the Nvidia Developer Zone. We did this in response to attacks on the site by unauthorised third parties who may have gained access to hashed passwords.

The company has not given a ETA to get the server back online. We’ve reached out to Nvidia to know more about the issue. But the users were also warned that they are not supposed to provide any personal information that they think is personal or sensitive for others to see, since the information is currently accessible to the hackers. Nvidia has also mentioned that they will retrieve all the passwords and reset then in a while, after fixing the issue.

The online hacktivism has increased recently! It was just a few days ago that Yahoo! Voice got hacked and millions of user accounts were exposed.
