It came as a surprise today, that Sparrow, one of the most popular email client for the iOS and Mac has now gone into the hands of the search engine giant, Google. Sparrow’s Dom Leca announced this new acquisition on their website today, and has confirmed that there’ll not be any updates to the current app in the future. Literally saying that Sparrow has now been shot in the head by Google, and its dead now!
This news did not excite many, since so many people loved Sparrow, and also were expecting the next version of Sparrow anytime soon! But what would happen to the Sparrow team now? Well, Google and Dom Leca has confirmed that they are going to be working on the next version of Gmail for iOS. The current versions would definitely receive some critical updates from the team, but there’ll not be any new feature additions of releases in the future!
