Apple’s new ad campaign:The Genius way! Really?

Apple’s advertisements generally grab our attention for their interesting ‘think-different’-ness. However, the new set of Apple Genius Ads aired during the Olympics open ceremony has grabbed a wider attention for their not-so-Apple-ish way!

This new ad campaign features the Apple Retail store genius bar. The set of three clips show offs the Mac feature and how Apple Geniuses help the users in solving software problems in various situations.

“They feel intellectually cheap,” said US tech website The Verge. “We have no idea how these got greenlit, much less how the company decided they were worth paying for a fraction of the $1 billion NBCUniversal made in Olympics-class airtime this year.”

Not only them, critics and Apple-fans all over seem to be greatly disappointed with these ads. So what’s so annoying? Take a look! The first ad named the “MayDay”features a Apple Genius(new face) in a plane helping a customer to solve an issue before the plane’s landing.

The second clip named “Basically” features the same new-face Apple genius explaining a customer how Mac is ‘basically’ different from other ordinary computers.

The third one named “Labor Day” features the same Genius explaining the cool features of iPhoto to a to-be-dad.

Or maybe, these adverts aren’t THAT bad. Only that it is Apple and the world wants only THE Best out of them. And this one has really not reached that mark!
