Apple has released the Gold Master build of Mountain Lion 10.8 to the developers. The company has also sent out emails to the developers to submit their Mountain Lion specific apps to the Mac App Store.
Apple released Mountain Lion, their next version of Mac OS X which comes with a whole lot of new features with deeper iCloud integration, a few months back. And the company briefed about the new OS at WWDC 2012 this year. Today, Apple has seeded the final version of Mountain Lion with no known issues to the developers. It is also expected that this will be the version which will go on sale for the users across the world.
Apple also revealed that the new OS will be available for just $19.99 via Mac App Store this month. And now that the Gold Master release has been seeded, the OS is expected to come out anytime next week. Moreover, Apple has also sent out email to the developers to submit their apps for review on the Mac App Store.
The Mountain Lion GM build weighs about 4.5 GB and along with this build, Apple has also released XCode 4.4 to the developers. We just installed the GM build and the graphics performance and Notification Center performance is really smooth. Also, the dictation feature has got some change in this build.
