Apple has been working on this new version of the next not-so-major update for the Mac OS X Lion, the Mountain Lion for a while, and it is today that the OS is seeing the light to reach the public. Mountain Lion reached the GM status few weeks back, and the OS was pretty stable right from the Developer Preview 1. The Mountain Lion comes with a lot of new add-ons kind of features to the existing Mac OS X Lion, which takes Mac OS X one step closer to the iOS for mobile devices.
The entire operating system has minor updates to the look and feel and also has features like the Notification Center, iMessage app for Mac, and deeper iCloud integration. Moreover Twitter and Facebook also has some deep integration across the system in the new OS. And also, not to be missed, the iCloud has been integrated all over the system with Notes app and the Reminders app for Mac.
The new OS is available in the Mac App Store as a digital download and is priced at $19.99. Just head to the Mac App Store on your computer, and you should be able to find it in the big banner that stays at the top!
