Firefox reaches a milestone! Hits 3 billion Addon downloads mark!

One of the best things about a browser is the ability to customize its interface and functionality by our requirement. If you can read my mind, you sure, are guessing that I’m coming to Addons. Yes, addons give the browser additional features and gives you a wide variety of opportunities to make it work the way you want.

Mozilla was one among the first to explore this technique and employ it back in 2004. Its open source working model, worked big time, we must agree and it has now reached the 3 Billion download mark. Statistics from the Mozilla Blog say that there are about 25,000 developers worldwide and about 150,000 user developed addons and that 85 % of the Firefox users have got atleast one addon installed.

Mozilla has got an extensive collection of addons and packs, the most popular of which include AdBlock Plus, Firebug, DownthemAll, Video Download Helper and things alike. You can download all the great Addons here.
