‘Touch Cover’ is a multi-touch keyboard with a trackpad for Microsoft Surface!

Microsoft not only announced the Microsoft Surface Tablets and the Type Cover with tactile build at today’s announcement. The company also unveiled a multi-touch keyboard with trackpad called the Touch Cover, while would work along with the Microsoft Surface Tablet.

Steven Sinofsky unveiled the new Touch Cover, which me said that it would feel as good as typing on a glass. He also walked us through some of the features like its multi-touch capability, and also, its thinness of the build. The keyboard would serve as an add-on to the Microsoft Surface tablet, and would attach itself to the device via magnetic connectors. Moreover, the keyboard also has the capability to sense the keystrokes as gestures, enhancing the typing speeds and accuracy of these touches. Well, one other thing to note is that the keyboard is just 3mm thick.

Talking about the availability, the company said that these would get to the hands of the customer when the Windows 8 comes out to the public for the purchase. And also the keyboard will be available in five vibrant colors, and users can choose between these colors. We’re still not sure about the pricing of this add-on. But it is sure to be competitive.

But if you think these multi-touch keyboard will not work for you, you can always prefer to get the Type Cover, which is a full featured tactile keyboard for Microsoft Surface Tablet.
