Adobe drops support for Flash for Android starting with Jelly Bean! Flash is almost Dead now!

Google and Adobe has officially announced that the Flash support is not coming to the latest Android Jelly Bean. Adobe issues a statement that the company was not involved in active development of Flash for Jelly Bean.

Google I/O 2012 is still in progress and the company unveiled Android Jelly Bean at the event, and brought in a lot of new improvements to the OS with Project Butter and Google Now. But for all the users who were thinking and arguing with the iOS users that their devices support Flash, they are now in distress. Flash support if NOT coming to Android devices starting with the latest Jelly Bean. And Adobe, which develops Flash, has officially said that the company was not involved in the active development of Flash, so there will not be any certified implementation of Flash into the OS.

This might be a major blow for many users who rely on Android just for Flash. And Flash was the initial selling point for Android when it launched few years back. But if you are relying on Flash, and if you still want to use it, grab an update from the Google Play Store right away as the company will be disabling new installs from Play Store starting August 15th! So, Google is giving its users a last chance to get Flash on their devices.
