Foursquare releases v5.0 with whole new interactive features! [Updated]

Foursquare today released a major update to their iOS app with a lot of new features that we have thought of. The company recently moved to OpenStreet Maps and now, the entire app is furnished with it.

“What we set off to do six months ago is, now that we have these pieces, let’s put them together.” is what Mr. Alex Rainert says about the new release. For this release, Photos are the main concentration and people can share photos and view the photos that were shared in their neighboring places.

The new app also made it easy for us to find the places next to us and also gives us suggestions for the Foursquare Check-in offers, which is cool! We are liking the app now, and we wish some more updates are pushed to this platform in the coming releases.

Here’s the changelog from Foursquare about the new V5.0:

✓ Share and save your experiences wherever you go.
✓ Get personalized recommendations and deals based on where you, your friends and people with your tastes have been.
✓ Search for anything (from ‘free wi-fi’ to ‘dumplings’) or browse popular categories.
✓ Discover insider tips and lists from local experts, brands, and celebrities.

What’s New In This Version:
Say hello to the all new foursquare! We’ve re-imagined the entire app to make it even easier for you and your friends to share and catalog your experiences and find new places to go. It’s also really really pretty, with tons of fun surprises. Grab the update now!
