First Flexible eReader in the world is cool, but doesn’t really come close to a paperback!

The image you see above is the flexible eReader, developed by Wexler, a Russian technology manufacturer, which uses LG’s flexible display technology, letting you bend the eReader as you wish* !

This seems to be riding the new wave of innovation of the next-generation eReaders. The Nook and Kindle are getting their improvements with backlit displays, and the Wexler Flex One is flexible. Apparently it’s display can also take a beating (according to the manufacturer atleast), which would open doors for a whole new level of eReaders in the market. While the market is in the stage of protecting their displays with smart covers and also by handling it carefully, these flexible displays are a boon.

Talking about the configuration, the WEXLER Flex One comes with a strong eINK display, 8GB of RAM, and support for all the major file formats, lightweight 110g in heft, and a supposed battery output for weeks. This readers looking good. I sure hope to see more of it! We’re still not sure when these displays would come out! But yes! We’re hoping to see these devices later this year, along with Samsung’s Flexible devices.
