Facebook reveals the flow of What happens when you report something to them!

Facebook has revealed in an infographic of what actually happens when a user reports a profile or a post of almost anything to Facebook and where your reports are heading towards.

Facebook has been in the privacy problems for a very long time now, and many concerns have been put forth about the data that’s being stored in the social network. The company has now come forward to reveal some information about Where your data is heading to when a user reports a problem to Facebook, in an info graphic. The largest social network on the planet has posted an article explaining the flow of the data which goes to Facebook once a user reports a problem.

The infographic tells us how complex the data flow process is and the process goes through four teams of people who are working only to solve these user problems, which is amazing. And these cases include abuse, threats and much more of these kinds of reports. And also, these teams are spread across the world, and they are monitoring it from India, Ireland, USA and other countries where Facebook offices are present.

These reports are generated every 24 hours and are processed within 72 hours from the time of reporting. But these reports does not go to Facebook immediately. Instead, the users themselves are asked to try to resolve these problems, and if that doesn’t work out, depending upon the type of report, the message hits the Facebook teams like a safety team, a hate and harassment team, an abusive content team, and the access team. If your were thinking that Facebook took all these reports lightly, then you’re probably wrong. The company has got a team of people working for almost every possible reports that could come their way, which is good.

Moreover, Facebook has also teamed up with organizations like National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and MTV’s “A Thin Line”, to prevent all these issues coming from the users, and giving them appropriate advices to stay safe from harm. We never knew that these processes were going on in the backend, and I wonder if any other company would have such a dedicated team to help people resolve their issues that are reported to them. We like this with Facebook!
