Developers port 3D Maps and Turn-by-Turn Navigation to iPhone 4!

A clever group of hackers from Russia were not able to tolerate the fact that turn-by-turn GPS navigation and 3D Flyovers are not coming to iPhone 4. So, they went on to port the feature from the iPhone 4S onto their own iPhone 4 without even using Cydia on their devices. Looks interesting right?

Apple, with a huge fanfare and applause, launched their own Mapping solution for the iOS devices with iOS6 at WWDC 2012 this year. But one thing that let people down was that, not all the features were available to the previous generation of devices. Some of the beautiful features like the 3D Flyovers and the turn-by-turn GPS navigation are not coming to iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS or iPad 2.

But even before the WWDC 2012 got over, some of the hackers from Russia have ported these much talked about features to iPhone 4, without having Cydia installed on their devices. The hackers have also put the tutorial on how to do these here, and we barely understood the video demonstration, except that it was in Russian and the guy was trying to push the iPhokne 4 hard to perform the 3D and turn-by-turn navigations.

Here’s the video demonstrating the features on an iPhone 4:
