Just a few weeks after IPO, Facebook’s CTO is leaving the company to leap ahead with his own start-up.
Facebook is now having yet another problem. The company will be losing its current CTO, Bret Taylor for a start-up. The CTO will be leaving Facebook this summer to join a start-up and to have a new start again. Talking about this decision, Bret says:
“I had always been upfront with Mark that I eventually wanted to do another start-up, and we felt it was the best time after the IPO and the launch of some recent things for me to do that.”
Bret Taylor has been playing an important role in managing the company’s mobile and other platform sections for all these years, and also he was the one who led the initiation of Facebook Connect and Open Graph protocols. He is not the only one leaving the company. Many sources are saying that the company would be losing some more employees in the coming months. Good signs?
