A new video reveals how the iPhones are made for real inside the Foxconn factory in China, where 70% of the iPhones are made, including the new iPhone 4S.
Foxconn and Apple’s relationship has been under stake for a long time now in the public for maintaining a poor working conditions for the employees at Foxconn. But ever since Tim Cook visited the Foxconn factory few months back, the company has become a little more transparant in talking to the public about their working conditions. And today, a new video has surfaced, which starts off with Mr. Terry Gou, CEO, Foxconn taking a helicopter ride with a reporter, explaining the working conditions and giving an overview of the company’s infrastructure.
The company has over 115,000 employees in the factory, and also there are a lot of wasteland space, which the company is planning for an expansion. The video also gives a walkthrough of the production lines starting from iPhone 4S production and its display. The video finishes off with the production of the motherboard, which is produced over 10,000 pieces of them everyday.
