Softbank releases a smartphone with radiation detectors after Fukushima Crisis!

Softbank has unveiled a new smartphone, called Pantone that has radiation detectors in it to fight crisis like Fukushima in future. Expects to bring this device to people close to radiation hotspots in Japan!

If there is one incident that we cannot forget in the recent times, it is the Fukushima crisis that happened recently right after the Earthquake. There’s been a lot of awareness campaigns after this incident and now, Softbank has come up with a smartphone that has the ability to detect the radiation levels around them.

Softbank thinks that the radiation bursts and other issues are highly important to get noticed and with the new device, people could be precautionary about the radiation levels around them. Talking about this new device, Mr. Masayoshi Son, Founder and President of Softbank says:

“The threat from the nuclear accident cannot be seen by the human eye and continues to be a concern for many people, especially for mothers with small children,”

We personally think this is a very well thought out technology that almost all the Japanese people living near the radiation hotspot regions need. Moreover, the new smartphone comes in 8 bright colors and the device runs Android in it. But for sure , this is a much needed device for the public. The device will be available this summer for sale.
