Following Apple’s lead, the service can be used in 5 authorized devices for an account. Moreover, the service can also be accessed from the web browsers, without any additional cost. Ask Samsung about this new service, and all that they wanted to say is to just be more than what Apple is. Here’s what TJ Kang, Senior Vice President of Samsung Media Solution Center says about the new service:
“Samsung is not known for our content services; we make good hardware products but we haven’t done much in the content space but that’s changing,”
He also told Reuters:
“We are doing it to create a better experience for our users. There are things we could do better if we have complete control over all of the service. A lot of the other players are still trying to find the magic formula that can use to counter iTunes,”
Well, if you’ve got the new Samsung Galaxy S III today, and if you are moving from an iOS device, this is the music streaming service that you should be looking at. The main functionality of the new streaming service comes from mSpot, which was acquired by Samsung this month!
