Samsung has taken the wraps off its next Galaxy device, the Samsung Galaxy S III, which has got some good features but not really groundbreaking. Let’s trip around this device now.
Samsung has been teasing the next Galaxy device for a while now, and finally, in a special event which was held in London, the company unveiled this new device. The device sports a pretty huge 4.8 inch Super AMOLED display running at 720p resolution. Besides this, Samsung has done something good with the two cameras in the device. The rear camera has a 8 megapixel lens and the front camera has got a 1.9 megapixel lens in them.
The software (Android 4.0) in this device has been slightly modified to do more on this device. The device uses the front facing camera to detect the facial movement and recognises if the user is looking at the device or somewhere else, thus switching on or switching off the display accordingly.
The storage is pretty much the same. It comes with a 16 or 32GB storage capacity, along with a microSD slot for expanding the storage. Bluetooth 4.0 is another feature that is coming with this device. Overall, there aren’t major (really major) improvements to the device on the whole. But the processor, display and the custom features of the OS is an added advantage. Oh, wait. There’s one more thing. With Samsung Galaxy S III, comes S Voice, a huge rip-off of Apple’s awesome Siri. Right from the response to the UI, you’ll feel like you are on an iPhone using Siri on it.
The device will be available in Europe this May 29th and is available in North America and other parts of the world in June.

To ensure faster content sharing and connectivity, the GALAXY S III offers Wi-Fi Channel Bonding which doubles the Wi-Fi bandwidth.
The GALAXY S III also sports a range of additional features that boost performance and the overall user experience in entirely new ways. It introduces ‘Pop up play,’ a feature that allows you to play a video anywhere on your screen while simultaneously running other tasks, eliminating the need to close and restart videos when checking new emails or surfing the Web.
