Nevada DMV has granted the license to Google for their highly intelligent Self-Driven Car. Google now has a testing license that would allow the company to test the self-driving car to take the roads with a red license plate in them.
The Self-Driving car can now roam around the city. But should carry two passengers at all the time it travels. The Nevada has also defined the places in which the car could test itself. The State had previously regulated that the companies that are coming forward to test these advanced autonomous cars should bond an insurance amount of $1 million and also, they should provide an outline of where the testing will be done and under what conditions.
The license is still being reviewed. The Autonomous Review Committee from the Nevada DMV is working towards getting this right. In a statement to Ars Technica, Nevada DMV Director, Mr. Bruce Breslow said: “I felt using the infinity symbol was the best way to represent the ‘car of the future,’” while talking about the infinite symbol that was placed in the license plates of these cars.
