SpaceX, a company that came out with the only aim to launch commercial rockets to space, gave its first shot on Tuesday and launched its Dragon Capsule over to space and was placed in orbit. Once the capsule settled, it was captured via an image footage (image above) today.
SpaceX has been making a huge buzz for launching their first ever commercial rocket to the space lately. The company planned for a launch originally last Saturday, but unfortunately, it was aborted due to high cabin pressure in one of the engines of the rocket. The launch was later rescheduled to Tuesday and the Dragon successfully went into space and was placed into orbit.
The SpaceX’s Dragon capsule has now been captured in a picture taken from the International Space Station in the orbit. Dragon carried a lot of tools and equipments that ISS needed and SpaceX’s Dragon was the first ever rocket to dock on ISS to transfer some materials to the Space Station. SpaceX Dragon also carried over 1K pounds of food and other essentials and has now been attached to the robotic arm of ISS. SpaceX is also reporting that it will remain unopened until some routine checkups are made and are clear for operation.
The Dragon is expected to return back to Earth after two or three weeks from now and is expected to land in some distance from California. SpaceX has made one of the most essential steps in the history of mankind. With the success of Dragon, we think we are just a step less than commercial space tourism!
